Leo Clarke ties up the 2018 San Diego All Star Game in top of 9th Inning

Alec Celiceo’s RBI in the tenth inning helped the Nationals beat the Americans 2-1 in the third annual SDCCL All-Star game on Wednesday.
Each member of the All-Star teams was selected due to his superior statistics from the regular season.
Neither team was able to get on the scoreboard until the bottom of the fourth inning.
That’s when Nicholas Rhoades hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Kyle Boudreaux.
The score was now 1-0 in favor of the Americans.
After eight innings of no runs, it looked like the Americans were going to win the game on Rhoades sacrifice fly.
It was the only score of the game until the ninth inning.
Then Brandon Fragoso singled in the top of the ninth inning to bring home Clarke who walked to first, then aggressively stealing

2nd and third base putting him in prime scoring position ready for Fragoso to bring him in. Fragoso went 3-for-4 with an RBI on the

day.  The score was now tied 1-1.
After a quiet half inning by the Americans, the game headed into extra innings.
In the top of the tenth, Celiceo hit into a fielder’s choice to bring home Fragoso, making the score 2-1.
The Americans were unable to score in the bottom of the tenth and the Nationals won the game 2-1.
Ridgewell led the Nationals with a solid performance on the mound, and was followed by Najee-Peat Davis and eventually Celiceo.
Regular season play resumes tomorrow when the Jackrabbits take on the Rattlers at 1:30 p.m. at Montgomery High School. http://www.pointstreaksites.com/view/sdccl/news-1147/news_506671
